Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about getting started, appointments, and how we work. Don’t see yours? Send us a message or call 720-443-1691.
Getting started
How do I book my first appointment?
Use the Request an Appointment page to pick a provider and a time, or call us at 720-443-1691. Most new patients are seen within a week.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can schedule directly with any of our providers.
What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit is longer than a typical follow-up — about 60 minutes for psychiatric evaluations and 45–55 minutes for therapy intakes. Your provider will ask about your history, current concerns, and goals for care. Together you’ll build an initial plan, which may include medication, therapy, or both.
Do you see adolescents and children?
Several of our providers see adolescents and teens. Please contact us to match you with the right clinician.
Insurance & cost
What insurance do you accept?
We are in-network with most major Colorado plans, including Medicaid. See the Cost & Insurance page for details and how to estimate your out-of-pocket.
What will my appointment cost?
It depends on your plan and whether your deductible is met. Upon request, we can verify your benefits and give you an estimate before your first visit. Most insured patients pay $0–$60 per visit.
Do you offer self-pay?
Yes. Contact our front office for current self-pay rates.
Telehealth
Are all visits by video?
Most Trend services are delivered via secure telehealth throughout Colorado. Your provider will let you know if an in-person visit is needed.
What do I need for a telehealth visit?
A private space, a reliable internet connection, and a phone or computer with a camera and microphone. You’ll receive a link for your session.
Appointments & policies
What is your cancellation policy?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel. We ask for advance notice so we can offer the time to another patient.
How do I refill a prescription?
Contact your pharmacy to submit a refill request; your provider will review and respond through the patient portal. For controlled medications, please request refills at least a few business days before you run out.
What if I have an urgent concern between visits?
Message your provider through the patient portal. For crisis or emergency situations, see the crisis resources at the bottom of this page — Trend does not provide emergency or after-hours care.
